The room was beautifully decorated, with a unique cave-like atmosphere that added to the charm of the stay. the shower was spacious and provided a refreshing experience. the location was perfect, right next to the historic center and close to all the main attractions. It was so convenient to be able to explore the city without having to go far.

The high humidity in the cave was a bit uncomfortable, but this is a common issue in these types of accommodations. the owner was aware of this and mentioned plans to install a de-humidifying system in the future.

matera is always an incredible place, but stone rooms made our stay even better. the hosts were amazing, and we had an unforgettable experience sleeping in a cave. breakfast was also top-notch. highly recommend stone rooms for an authentic matera stay.

I had the most incredible experience staying in a cave room! It was like stepping back in time and truly immersing myself in the history of the city. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom. Giuseppe, the host, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He even helped me with my luggage and provided excellent local recommendations. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town but still close to where I parked my car. I loved being able to explore Matera on foot, with everything just a few minutes away. I highly recommend staying at Stone Rooms for a unique and unforgettable experience.
